DVD Collection Swiped from Palmer Park Mall, Police Say

Phillipsburg, N.J., man charged in retail theft at FYE.

A Phillipsburg, N.J. man was charged over the weekend with allegedly swiping a DVD collection from a store in the Palmer Park Mall in Palmer Township.

Doug Henderson, 19, was charged with retail theft and marijuana possession after Palmer Township police arrested him on Sunday outside the mall, court records say.

Officer Jeremiah Santo said Mike Orta, manager of FYE, spotted Henderson walking outside the entrance of the store, triggering the alarm.

Orta followed Henderson and saw him toss a DVD collection called "DragonBall GT" to the ground outside the mall entrance, court records state.

The collection is valued at $34.99.

After a search, police discovered a bag of marijuana and charged Henderson with possession, court records state.

He was arraigned before District Judge Jacqueline Taschner.
