Easton Police Arrest 7 in Drug Raids

Police say raids on Warren and Northampton streets involve drug investigations from New Jersey.

arrested seven people Thursday in a pair of early-morning drug raids, one of which targeted members of a New Jersey street gang.

At 6 a.m., members of the city's Vice/Narcotics Unit, Special Response Unit, along with the state police Special Emergency Response Team executed search warrants on apartments at 124 N. Warren St. and 680 Northampton St.

Police say the Warren Street address was part of an investigation based on neighbor complaints and focused on members of the Hoover Crips gang out of East Orange, NJ.

Two men were arrested in that raid: Kevin Williams, 21, and Qualin Warren, 23, both charged with possession of marijuana.

The raid led police to another home at 521 Parsons St., where police made two other arrests: a 16-year-old boy charged with felony heroin delivery and 22-year-old Chelsea Trotto, charged with obstruction of justice.

Police say Trotto was charged after she tried to keep officers from finding the 16-year-old, who is associated with the Hoover Crips.

Meanwhile, the Northampton Street raid focused on drug trafficking stemming from Plainfield, NJ.

Police arrested three people at this address:

  • Brittie Griffin, 24, charged with possession of cocaine.
  • Joshua Fox, 20, charged possession with the intent to deliver heroin.
  • Michael Frederick, 19, charged with possession of Oxycodone.

According to police, investigators seized $3,000 worth of heroin, $1,500 worth of Oxycodone, $50 in crack and $1,400 in cash at the Warren Street apartment.
