Forks Police Host Bicycle Derby

Annual event attracts children of all ages.

Children with bicycles, tricycles and scooters and the children's parents turned out today when Forks Township police held their 10th-annual Bicycle Derby on the tennis courts at the township Community Park.

Officer Steve Nicholson coordinated the four-hour event that is held to teach children the rules and regulations to safely ride a bicycle. Police officers from Easton and Greenwich Township, NJ also assisted.

Cycle Fitters Bicycle Shop on Sullivan Trail did safety checks and replaced damaged or unsafe helmets for free.
