Forks Police Warn of Solicitors

Forks police say solicitors need permits.

The Forks Township Police Department is warning residents about solicitors.

Police said that over the past week, they have received numerous complaints from residents regarding door-to-door solicitors selling everything from household cleaner to self-help books.

Police said that peddlers must obtain a permit from the township prior to engaging in door-to-door sales, and are required to show the license when asked.

"As always, if you feel something is suspicious, call the non-emergency number so we can check things out," a police statement said.
