Gift Wrapped Bottle of Vodka Stolen from Unlocked Car, Police Say

Holiday present is taken by someone entering vehicles in Lower Macungie, troopers report.

Seems even burglars are celebrating this holiday season.

Either that or a recent thief in Lower Macungie Township presumed that a car owner left a wrapped holiday gift as a tip rewarding their efforts.

Whoever entered the unlocked vehicle of Kristina Joyce Costa at Highland Court between 1 and 6 a.m. Dec. 22 found a gift bag, according to state police at Fogelsville. That bag wrapped a bottle of vodka.

The bottle of vodka was taken; however, the empty bag later was recovered, police said. No other valuables were reported taken from the car.

Police ask that anyone with information contact them at 610-395-1438.

No description was offered. But if neighbors saw a hiccuping prowler with an unsteady gait, it might be worth reporting.

That's what the little button on the door is for. Ridiculous that the State Police have to come out because of something like this. JMO

And if you have a keyless entry an annoying alarm or horn will sound if someone attempts to open your door.
