Man Rescued After Fall From Palmer Township Bike Path

Was walking dog when knee gave out

It was certainly not the best dog day of the summer.

That's what an unidentified man must be wondering after being rescued this afternoon when he fell off the bike path along the Lehigh River in Palmer Township, the Express-Times is reporting.

The man, whose identity was not immediately available, was walking his dog about 4:30 this afternoon along the path off Lehigh Drive when his knee gave out and he fell down the hill, authorities said.

He did not lose consciousness and was able to dial 911 and call his daughter from his cell phone, the newspaper reported.
