Newlins Mill Road Work Done in Palmer

Detour started on July 9 and work on Palmer Township road now wrapped up.

The work on Newlins Mill Road in is now complete.

Public Services Director Tom Adams informed the Palmer Township Board of Supervisors at its meeting Saturday that the detour for Newlins Road has been lifted.

Supervisor Bob Lammi had requested an update so he could clear the notice from the township's website.

Newlins Mill Road was closed between McFadden Road and Tatamy Road since July 9. The work was expected to be completed in two weeks.

While there was a detour, the road was still open to MCS Industries.

A detour is still up on as work continues on the project.

Meanwhile, paving also continues along . Adams had said recently that the paving would continue beyond what was originally forecast.
