said a 75-year-old township woman died of natural causes after shopping at the Friday afternoon.
Police would not identify the victim Monday.
Lt. Thomas Trinchere said the woman was found dead in her car of a medical condition. He said the Northampton County Coroner's Office examined the woman and was aware that she had a previous medical condition and would not be perfoming an autopsy.
Trinchere said the woman was found slumped over the wheel in the driver's seat of her Suburu with her groceries in the back seat.
He said a female customer alerted Giant management that a woman was slumped in her car at around 3 p.m. Friday.
Police have ruled out foul play. Township Officer Richard Marshall was the investigating officer.
Police also viewed surveillance video and determined there was no suspicious activity.
Police were withholding her name to ensure that next of kin had been notified.
