Palmer Man Nabbed for Taking DVD Players From Wal-Mart

Two men were stopped by Wal-Mart security for stealing six DVDs, a CD player and a Blu-ray player, according to police.

On Palmer man and one Easton man are in Northampton County Prison after allegedly stealing $422 worth of electronics from in , according to .

On Dec. 12 around 6:49 p.m., police say, Brian Norton, 45, of the 500 block of Belmont Street in Easton, and Benjamin Harris, Jr., 48, of the 2000 block of Edgemore Avenue in Palmer Township, stole six DVD players, a CD player and a Blu-ray player.

Wal-Mart's loss prevention staff was able to stop one of the men, who was not identified in a press release, and took him to the loss prevention office. While in the office, according to police, the man grabbed his paperwork and ran out of the store.

He then got into a vehicle and left the parking lot. A Colonial Regional officer responding to the retail theft report spotted the vehicle as it turned onto Route 248.

After a traffic stop, Norton and Harris were taken into custody.

The men were arraigned before District Judge Nancy Matos Gonzalez and charged with retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft. After failing to post bail, they were sent to Northampton County Prison.
