Palmer Police K-9 Unit Gets $500 Donation.

Wright's Veterinary Hospital donates $500 to purchase a safety device for Palmer K-9 vehicle.

Wright's Veterinary Hospital donated $500 to the Palmer Police Department K-9 Corp to purchase the Hot Popper safety device for the new K-9 vehicle.

A Hot Popper is a device that monitors the interior temperature of the K-9 vehicle.

If the officer gets tied up on an incident and the temperature gets too high for the safety of the canine it automatically opens the rear windows of the vehicle, thereby letting cooler air in so the canine does not suffer heat exhaustion or stroke.
