Palmer Police nab New Jersey Suspects at Wawa

Palmer Police arrest two suspects in a theft from New Jersey convenience store.

arrested two New York City men Monday who are suspected of stealing from a New Jersey convenience store.

According to court records, Peter Sanchez and Claudi Javier – both 30, with Bronx addresses – were suspected by police in Phillipsburg of stealing a bar-code $1,400 scanner from a WaWa.

On Monday afternoon, Palmer police – having heard about the theft from police in New Jersey – spotted Javier and Sanchez at the on 25th Street in Palmer and took them into custody.

The men were arraigned before District Judge Gay Elwell in Easton and were being held without bail awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
