Palmer Police Seek Suspicious Person

Palmer Township Police investigate incident in which man approached girl Thursday morning.

The Palmer Police Department is seeking the public's help involving a suspicious person who approached a teenage girl this morning.

At 11:30 a.m. Thursday, a 13-year-old girl was walking her dog in the Old Orchard section of Palmer Township when she was approached by a white male driving a white pickup or SUV, police reported.

The man is described between the ages of 50 and 60, with white hair and a receding hairline. The man was wearing a blueish plaid short-sleeve shirt.

According to police, the man got out of his vehicle and began talking with the girl. He then asked her if he could walk her dog.

Police said he then reached for the leash. At that point, the girl called her mother on a two-way radio. Police said the man left when the girl contacted her mother.
