Police says that Ranjeet Minhas of Forks Townshp stabbed his son with a pair of scissors Dec. 30.
A man is accused of attacking his son with a pair of scissors, causing injuries that included a head wound that had to be stitched and stapled, according to court records.
The records do not say what may have triggered the alleged noontime attack Dec. 30 by Ranjeet Minhas, 54, of 2470 Jeanette Lane. The records identify the son as Arpit Minhas but do not give his age.
were dispatched to the Minhas home at 2:10pm – more than two hours after the alleged attack. Arpit Minhas told police his father stabbed him in the head and right hand with a scissors and also scratched his face with the scissors. The records say Arpit’s head wound already had been treated at a hospital and that a cut on his right pinky finger required three stitches.
Police found the scissor blades inside the home and the scissor handles in the back yard.
Ranjeet Minhas was arraigned later on Dec. 30 by on-duty District Judge James Narlesky of Hanover Township on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. He was taken to Northampton County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
The above arrest information was supplied by District Judge James Narlesky's office. It does not indicate a conviction.
