Alcohol contributed to a fatal crash in Forks Township that killed a father and his young daughter in November, authorities said.
Northampton County Coroner Zach Lysek said Friday that Charles C. Eberharter had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to the Allentown Morning Call.
His blood-alcohol content was 0.29 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
The story states that the coroner also said that Eberharter had medication in his system, but didn't say whether that contributed to the crash.
Eberharter, 47, and his daughter, Juliana, 6, were killed in the one-vehicle crash on Paxinosa Road East in late November. The two lived on the 500 block of Paxinosa Road East near the crash site.
The car hit a tree after the driver swerved to avoid somebody walking a dog.
