Reports: Palmer Man Shot Dead in Reading

Multiple media sources say a Palmer Township man was killed in a shooting in Reading early Tuesday.

Multiple media sources are reporting Wednesday that a Palmer Township man was shot to death in Reading early Tuesday.

Dario McLemore, 22, of Olde Penn Drive in the township, was discovered about 2:30 a.m. on Franklin Street in Reading seconds after shots were fired, the Reading Eagle reported.

The newspaper stated that McLemore -- who was staying with friends in Reading -- was found yards away from a van where another person was found shot to death.

The Berks County Coroner's Office pronounced both men dead at the scene. No arrests have been made.

McLemore was a 2008 graduate of Easton Area High School, according to the Easton Express-Times.

WFMZ reported that Reading police said that both men, who were friends, were targeted.

Palmer Police Chief Larry Palmer said Wednesday morning that Reading police had called late Tuesday seeking information from Palmer detectives.

In Easton, two men were killed in shootings in the past few weeks.
