Small Plane Crashes Near Braden Air Park

A pilot sustained minor injuries Thursday when his plane crashed near Forks Township's Braden Air Park.

A small plane crashed Thursday afternoon near Braden Air Park in Forks Township, leaving its pilot with minor injuries.

The crash happened around 4:55 p.m. near Uhler Road, said Charles Everett, executive director of Lehigh Valley International Airport, which oversees Braden.

Everett said the plane "landed long," meaning that it was unable to stop before the runway ended. The pilot declined medical attention.

According to the FAA database, the fixed-wing single engine plane is owned by Aliosman Bilukbash of Sciota, Monroe County.

Everett said the FAA had been notified, and cleared the plane to be removed. The crash did not affect other operations at the airport, he said.
