An Easton teenager was charged Wednesday in connection with the theft of a dirt bike in Palmer Township, according to court papers.

Michael Leroy Tigar Jr., 18, of 1129 Lehigh St., was charged with felony receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana by Wilson borough police.

The red and black Baja 70cc bike was involved in “an incident” with Wilson police on Wednesday, though the arrest affidavit did not describe it. However, the affidavit does say the bike was later found at S. 15th and Butler streets in the borough at a little before 3 p.m. Wednesday.

In addition to the dirt bike, police also found a “small amount of a green leafy substance” in Tigar’s wallet, the affidavit says.

Tigar was arraigned before on-duty District Judge Roy Manwaring in Bethlehem and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
