Billings Resigns as Forks Township Supervisor

Forks Township Supervisor David Billings is stepping down June 25 for a job transfer.

Forks Township Supervisor David Billings provided a stunner Thursday night.

He resigned.

The supervisor sent a letter to township Manager John Cornell tendering his resignation, effective June 25.

Palmer-Forks Patch received the letter from Billings to Cornell:

It has been a privilege and honor to serve as a Forks Township Supervisor. I have a deep belief that public servants should provide selfless service and do their best to represent the entire community.  Throughout the past 3 and half years, I have faithfully served this ideal in my all votes and actions.

My life has taken an interesting turn of events, as my job has been transferred to Dallas, Texas.  I have decided to finish my career at AT&T and work the next several years in Dallas, until my retirement.

It is with great sadness, that I tender my resignation as a Forks Township Supervisor, effective June 25th, 2013.
