The bridge--which spans a railroad right-of-way--is located entirely within the City of Bethlehem, although the eastern end of it borders the borough line.

I noticed today that they painted the concrete barrier yellow and black. Not sure how that is going to help repair the bridge though.

Fix this bridge! The neighborhoods to the west have "exploded" in the past 20 years and this cuts off access to Hellertown the the shopping and other commerce that city provides. The approaching storm may cut off the area completely if Saucon Creek floods to the north. This is a safety issue... Al Lagerda, USAF (retired Chief of Safety, former Bethlehem resident)

I watch them all the time at that bridge pull all the way to the barrier and than another car pulls up soon there's 12 behind and the first car doesn't have room to turnaround one time I seen a motorcycle while I was leaf blowing the road go in between the little open area next to the barrier before they put up the rope that bridge has to be open like NOW I also seen a tour bus go over that bridge no granted that the equal wait is not all on the bridge but that bridge can stand up to a lot of weight nobody cares anymore about roads or life or anything 21st century for ya
