Forks Creating a Township Map

Forks Township officials say that only 67 municipalities in Pennsylvania have town maps.

One day you may find something in your mailbox that not every resident in Pennsylvania can brag about.

That would be a township map.

Township Manager John Cornell said that officials have been hard at work creating an official map of the township.

The planning department has been conducting an official mapping of the township and getting as much information about developments and such.

Zoning Officer Tim Weis said that only 67 municipalities in the state have town maps.

Township Engineer Scott Muller said the map is 90 percent complete.

Solicitor Karl Kline said the map must go through all state code reviews for adopting maps.

"We have to go through all the hurdles," he said. "While it can help you, it can also hurt you."
