Forks Delays Decision on "Cottage in the Woods"
The Forks Township Board of Supervisors expects to revisit the fate of the "Cottage in the Woods" in July.
A decision on the fate of the has been delayed for at least a month.
The Forks Township Board of Supervisors, which was expected to make a decision about what to do with the abandoned building on 700 Zucksville Road, decided to hold off at their meeting Thursday night.
Public Works Director Mark Roberts estimated it would cost $23,600 to make the building suitable for usage by the Forks Area Art Society.

The building has mold issues, which Roberts said have yet to be tested.
Township officials are trying to determine whether to save the building or demolish it. A recent had voters overwhelmingly wanting to see the cottage saved.

Supervisors Chairman Erik Chuss said he had not heard from Ellie Reismieyer, president of the Art Society, about her plan to help rehabilitate the cottage.
"How long do we want to keep this pending?" Supervisor Bob Egolf asked.
"At the next meeting or the one after," Chuss said. "It's sitting there and not helping anything."
