Forks Funds Skate Park

A skate park located near Community Park could cost $76,000.

Plans are in place in Forks Township's five-year for a skate park near Community Park.

While officials announced recently that the skate park was included in those plans, few details have come out about it since a May meeting at which skaters appeared calling for a park of their own.

Recreation Director Rachel Sulzbach announced -- when the recreation plan was approved -- that the skate park was part of the plan, that a committee would be created and that skaters' opinions would be included in the project.
