Forks Gets 50 Applications for Manager

Forks Township receives more than 50 applications for its township manager.

is in the process of hiring a new manager; the deadline for applications was Friday, Jan. 27.

The job could pay $100,000 or more, and Chairman Erik Chuss said more than 50 people have applied.

The township paid the $75 an hour for help recruiting a new manager. David Woglom, of the Meyner Center, said the township will be conducting interviews through February and will make its decision in March.

The salary for the outgoing manager, , would have been $87,053 – that's with a 2.5 percent raise over 2011. By comparison, makes $96,900.

Schnaedter left Forks for Hilltown Township in Bucks County, where he will earn $100,000.

Chuss has said the township will base the salary on the applicants' experience and education levels.
