Finance Director Jim Farley said the township was approached by T Mobile about four or five years ago but nothing materialized.

"We don't have a lot of details about it," Supervisors Chairman Erik Chuss said. "The board is interested in entertaining the idea."

Township Supervisor David Billings likes the concept.

"I believe that good cell phone coverage is a public safety issue," he said. "Many of our residents do not have a land line and rely on cell phones for their communications needs, including 911 calls. I am very supportive of this proposal."

Billings will also address the Easton commuter tax proposal.

Mayor Sal Panto said Easton is considering the new tax on commuters who live outside the city but work there to deal with financial challenges over the next two years, including $27 million in payments on lawsuits and a drastic increase in pension plans.
