  • The intersection of Knox Avenue/Sullivan Trail/Old Mill Road.
  • Bushkill Park Road -- coming from Palmer Township.
  • North of Uhler Road -- coming from Stockertown.

At one point earlier in the process, Zucksville Road was also under consideration for a welcome sign.

The Business and Commerce Association of Forks Township, through a $1,000 grant from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, purchased the signs for Forks.

BCAF President Ron Roth had stated that the signs needed approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation before they could be posted.

Township Manager John Cornell said the back of the signs state: "Come Back Soon."

The welcome signs stirred up some controversy when Forks supervisors voted against them, stating they didn't want to match the grant because they didn't like the makeup of the signs.
