Palmer Waste/Recycling Q & A's Scheduled

Palmer Township will hold its first Q & A on waste/recycling Wednesday.

Palmer Township wants residents to get comfortable with its new waste/recycling system.

So officials are scheduling several question-and-answer sessions over the next few months to ease residents' minds over the upcoming changes.

The Environmental Steering Committee will hold a half-hour Q&A session from 6:30 to 7 pm before its monthly meeting Wednesday.

Other sessions are scheduled for Feb. 27, March 27 and April 24.

The purpose of the meetings is to answer any questions related to the new system that will begin May 1.

Palmer made changes that will bolster its recycling efforts and automate the waste collection system. Savings are being passed on to residents.

Does anyone know how this will bolster Palmer's recycling efforts? We already have recycling bins. Can I recycle my old garbage cans and recycling can, or do I have to cram those into the one garbage bin we are stuck with?
