Sinkhole Repair Work Praised in Palmer

The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors thank Easton Suburban Water Authority for fast fixes of sinkholes on Northwood Avenue.

The sinkholes appeared on a Thursday. They were gone by Sunday.

Those two sinkholes that opened up after a water main break on Northwood Avenue in Palmer Township last week received mention from the Palmer Township Board of Supervisors at Monday night's meeting.

Supervisor Anne-Marie Panella, during supervisor remarks, praised the work done by Easton Suburban Water Authority to get the sinkholes filled and fixed in fast fashion. (See the video of the crews at work.)

"I want to say thank you to Easton Suburban Water Authority for fixing the sinkholes in a timely manner," Panella said. "They were working their tails off. We all make jokes. But they did a phenomenal job."

Supervisors Chairman Dave Colver all praised Palmer Township officials and crews for responding quickly and helping to resolve the issue.

"The police, fire and public works departments were all there," he said. "It was all hands on deck."
