'State of Forks' Issues Forecast on Fixing Finances

Bolstering recreation programs also planned over the next year in Forks Township.

Every year, Forks Township likes to check what condition its condition is in.

At its annual "State of Forks Township" meeting Tuesday, Forks officials discussed many of the issues you've read about on our Patch site.

They talked about fixing its financial situation with a seven-year plan and reducing debt.

They discussed figuring out how to get its new public works building, crippled by waterproofing issues, finally open after numerous delays.

They worry over the fate of Braden Airpark and what development might come if the airport closes for good.

They wonder whether they should change their stance and let dogs wander around community park.

And they discussed adding parking around the community center and the completion of a skate park near the fire station.

“We really have turned the corner and continue to address situations and improve the township," Supervisors Chairman Erik Chuss said in a story by the Easton Express-Times. “We think the future is really bright here in Forks Township.”
