Come Join Shawnee PTA

Forks Township elementary school seeks new members.

The PTA is seeking new members.

The organization held its first meeting of the year on Sept. 13 and wants more parents to learn about the Forks Township school.

PTA President Jodi Matase said that the meetings "are a great way for you to see what is going on in our school. We want you to feel welcomed so we can all join forces to accomplish so much this year for the children."

Matase stressed the importance of PTAs, stating that schools that have outstanding parent involvement practices "understand the value in recognizing that vitality, passion and involvement create excellent schools."

"We all want success for our children, and through parent involvement this can be achieved," she said.
