EASD: Advertising Space For Sale?

It's a common sight at Coca-Cola Park.

All along the outfield wall and throughout the stadium, advertising billboards for local businesses such as car companies, restaurants and products are featured.

With the Easton Area School District still facing a budget crunch, advertising might just be for sale in the home of the Red Rovers, according to the Easton Express-Times.

According to the article, school officials are mulling whether to sell advertising space in Cottingham Stadium. Approval would generate some much-needed revenue for the school district, officials said.

In the past few months, the has slashed about 75 teaching jobs and numerous throughout its schools to trim costs and try to close a budget deficit.

The school year begins at the end of the month.
