Several Easton area schools will have new principals in charge when students return to school this year.

An "administrative reorganization plan" approved by the Easton Area School Board Tuesday night puts new principals at Paxinosa and Tracy elementary schools, and moves several other administrators into new roles.

Among them is former school superintendent Susan McGinley, who was named assistant principal of Easton Area Middle School for grade five.

Joining her are Thomas Warren, the current fifth and sixth grade principal, who will now be assistant principal for grade six. George Apostol will move from assistant principal for 11th grade at Easton Area High School to assistant principal for seventh graders at the middle school.

Director of Teaching and Learning Stephen Furst will be the new principal for the middle school's seventh and eighth grade campus.

There will be two new directors of teaching and learning: Robert Steckel, Tracy Elementary's Principal will take that job for grades K-6, and Angela DiVietro, the middle school's grade seven and eight principal, will be director of teaching and learning for grades 7-12.

At the high school, Michael Koch will go from being principal of 11th and 12th graders to principal of all four grades. Jeanette Kassis will be the new assistant principal for 11th and 12th grades.

David Hightower, principal at Paxinosa, is heading to Tracy. He'll be replaced by Anthony Viglianti, a middle school assistant principal.
