NCC Earth Day Festival will feature tips on how to go green at home

Northampton Community College's Earth Day Festival will feature tips and demonstrations on how to go green at home.

The festival will be held at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the main campus - 3835 Green Pond Road in Bethlehem. 

The event will include:

  • Make-your-own Earth Day tie dye t-shirt activity
  • Sales and giveaways of seedlings
  • Live music
  • Free food

At 11:30 a.m.,  there will be a ceremony in the college's tribute garden, that will include the dedication of a paver for Robert Lasso, the Freemansburg police officer killed in action last summer, and the start of a butterfly garden.  T

he Festival will be held on the Quad next to the College Center.  The tribute garden is nearby.

If it rains, the festival will be held on the second floor of the College Center. The tribute garden dedication will be postponed a week.
