Prize-Winning Historian to Speak at Lafayette

David Reynolds will talk about his book 'Mightier than the Sword: Uncle Tom's Cabin and the Battle for America.'

An acclaimed historian is due to speak at Lafayette College next Thursday. 

David S. Reynolds, winner of the Bancroft Prize in American history and a regular contributor to the New York Times Book Review, will speak Thursday, Sept. 27 at the school's Skillman Library.

Reynolds' talk will focus on his latest book, Mightier than the Sword: Uncle Tom’s Cabin and the Battle for America, which deals with the impact of Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel.
