PSSA Testing Begins in Schools

The Easton Area School District is running the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment tests from March 11 through April 26.

It's testing time.

Those annual Pennsylvania System of School Assessment tests in reading, mathematics, writing and science have started in the Easton Area School District.

Testing began Monday on writing in Grades 5 and 8. That test lasts until March 15. (Make-up tests are March 18-22.)

Here's the rest of the testing schedule:

  • Reading/Math (Grades 3-8) — April 8-19. Make-ups April 29-May 3.
  • Science (Grades 4 and 8) — April 22-26. Make-ups April 29-May 3.

The PSSA assessments are designed to assist school districts in determining the quality of their educational programs, states the school district's website.
