Teachers Agree to Deal

School board expected to vote on agreement

Teachers in the Easton Area School District have agreed to deal that will keep the district from laying off 160 union members, according to published reports.

The teachers have agreed to a one year pay-freeze, but the Easton Area School Board will still need to vote on the agreement at its meeting Thursday.

Representatives of the Easton Area Education Association were not immediately available for comment Monday.
