There were some rule changes when people went to sign up for soccer registration in Palmer Township this year.
The ages changed.
The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors has allowed the Palmer Township Athletic Association to lower the age requirement for children to play soccer.
According to the Easton Express-Times, the rules were adjusted to let younger children get the opportunity to sign up instead of waiting until they were age 6.
So township officials in late April opened it up so children ages 4 and 5 could also join the program.
The league begins on Aug. 1. Soccer signups for the Fall 2012 have just concluded.
But anyone interested in trying to get on board should contact Chuck Romfro, commissioner of the township soccer program, at email@example.com with any questions.
