Palmer Changes Rules for Soccer League Signups

Palmer Athletic Association reduces age limit to allow those ages 4 and 5 to sign up for soccer instead of waiting until age 6.

There were some rule changes when people went to sign up for soccer registration in Palmer Township this year.

The ages changed.

The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors has allowed the Palmer Township Athletic Association to lower the age requirement for children to play soccer.

According to the Easton Express-Times, the rules were adjusted to let younger children get the opportunity to sign up instead of waiting until they were age 6.

So township officials in late April opened it up so children ages 4 and 5 could also join the program.

The league begins on Aug. 1. Soccer signups for the Fall 2012 have just concluded.
