When Forks Community Days arrives, one of the biggest events is when fireworks light up the skies.
This year, the vendor providing the fireworks is going to be different.
Brian Lokitis, who oversees Forks Community Days, recently informed the Board of Supervisors that the vendor will be changing from Garden State to Celebrations.
Lokitis said Garden State uses traditional, hand-by-hand fireworks at close proximity while Celebrations features state-of-the-art electronics.
The move should not really impact residents, who come out by the throngs to watch one of the township's most popular annual events.
The township provides $6,000 toward the payment of the fireworks.
Forks Community Days is Sept. 21-22.
