Nazareth Days: The Agenda for July 19 to 21

Nazareth Days will be held from July 19 to 21 and will feature sidewalk sales, a block party, fireworks, Poker Run, Road Rally and a whole lot more.

Your agenda for Nazareth Days 2012:

Sidewalk sales will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday (July 19 to 21). Visit all participating merchants during sidewalk sale days, have your game card stamped and be entered to win fabulous prizes and giftcards to local Nazareth businesses.

Game cards will be available at participating businesses and must be delivered to Center Square on Saturday, July 21. The drawing will be held at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.

Many residents of Forks and Palmer townships frequent Nazareth Days.

Friday, July 20

The 23rd Annual Block Party will run from 7 to 11 p.m. between Belvidere and Main streets. Entertainment will be provided by Uncle Smiley, and EQ Entertainment will be DJing. will be serving up hamburgers, cheeseburgers, French fries and pierogies. Saturday, July  21

Grab the for a variety of friendly activities, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include:

  • Carriage Rides
  • Trolley Rides
  • Mario Andretti's Indy Car
  • Free Children's Pavilion at Broad and Belvidere Streets
  • Petting Zoo
  • Clowns
  • Food
  • Fire Truck Display
  • Farmers Market
  • Serene Green (10 a.m. to noon)
  • Burnt Toast (noon to 2 p.m.)
  • Vendors, Shops and More!

A blood drive will be held at from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Registration for the  (for motorcycles) will start at 11 a.m. at the Vigilance Hose Co. No. 1 Social Club. The cost to enter is $20 per driver and $15 per passenger. The Poker Run will end at Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, 1035 Smith Gap Road, Bath. Entertainment, food and beverages will be available at the end of the run. All funds raised will be donated to . Registration for the  (for vehicles) will start at 4 p.m. at the Nazareth Boro-Park softball field. The cost to enter is $25 per vehicle. Directions and questions will be supplied. Participants must find the answers. This event has grown over the years and has become a big hit. The goal this year is to have more than 100 vehicles. T-shirts will be available for sale. A disc jockey will begin playing music at the Boro-Park at 6 p.m. Members of the public are invited to gather at the small pavilion to hang out and have fun before the fireworks. The fire company and the Nazareth Area Kiwanis Club will have food and ice cream for sale.

The "most amazing fireworks show in the area" will take start promptly at 10 p.m. The fireworks are sponsored by Vigilance Hose Co. No. 1. The company is accepting donations for the show.

If Nazareth Days festivities are postponed due to weather, the Road Rally and fireworks will also be postponed until Sunday, July 22. Times will remain the same.
