Robber with Sawed-Off Shotgun Stole $8 Worth of Cigars, Fled on Bicycle

The man police say robbed a Forks Township convenience store carried a sawed-off shotgun, swiped packs of Black & Mild cigars and fled on a bicycle

Police used surveillance video, bicycle tire tracks and a person’s preference for Black & Mild cigars to track down the armed man they say robbed Chubby’s convenience store in Forks Township around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. A criminal complaint about the incident and the alleged robber, Tariq Jahad Yusuf Jackson, 22, also of Forks, reveals the following: --Jackson wore a black-knit ski mask and yellow gloves, and brandished a sawed-off shotgun. A Forks officer found the mask on nearby Meco Road about an hour after the robbery. --Jackson visited the store about 10 the night before – six and a half hours before the robbery – and asked an employee what time the store opens in the morning. --His home at 2305 Jamie Court is .76 miles from Chubby’s, …

Forks Police Seek Help in Armed Robbery

Police: Mel's Doggie Stand robbed Tuesday by handgun-wielding man.

Forks Township Police Chief Greg Dorney delivers a crime report every month. Armed robbery usually isn't on the list. But Forks Township experienced one Tuesday and the police chief would like the public's help in solving the case. Dorney, in an email over the weekend, said he had little information about the crime. Police said a handgun-wielding man robbed Mel's Doggie Stand on Sullivan Trail and then fled on foot. Robbery Suspects Were Looking for Money, Thrills

Four Bethlehem area teens arrested for string of convenience store robberies. All will face multiple felony counts as adults.

  Four teenagers are in Northampton County Prison, charged with pulling off a string of five armed robberies at city 7-Elevens and a Rudy’s Car Wash & Mart in Palmer Township over a four-day span beginning Saturday. Three of the four were caught as they were allegedly working to commit a sixth robbery at the 2930 Linden St. 7-Eleven at a little before 3 a.m. Wednesday. The fourth suspect, Isaiah Barker, 17, of 725A Ramblewood Lane, Freemansburg, was apprehended Wednesday evening by Allentown police during a “rooftop foot chase,” according to the Bethlehem Police Department’s Twitter feed. Asked why, Ashley Horning, 17, of 1345 Beverly Ave., Bethlehem, told police: “It was for the money and the thrill,” according to court papers. Also …

Police Seek Gunmen Who Robbed Palmer Township Car Wash

Two suspects took undisclosed cash, fled from Rudy's Car Wash in Palmer Township car on Saturday.

Palmer Township Police are seeking two armed men who robbed Rudy's Car Wash at 2500 Northampton St. in Palmer Township shortly before midnight on Saturday. The men took an undisclosed amount of money after entering the business armed with semi-automatic handguns. The suspects then walked to the Tic-Toc Diner parking lot, according to a police report. There were no injuries. Police say the suspects may have fled in a white or light-colored car and were headed toward Wilson Borough. The suspects are described as: Anyone with information is asked to call Palmer Township police at 610-253-3556, extension 211, and ask for Sgt. Timothy Ruoff.
