Palmer Township Supervisor Bob Lammi said he is working on overhauling the township's website.
He's Palmer Township's technology guru. And even though longtime township official Bob Lammi will be departing from the Board of Supervisors at the end of the year, there's one task he will complete. Lammi is overhauling the township's website. The website provides a chockfull of information to residents—everything from forms, links and employment opportunities to meeting minutes and agendas to postings about free mulch, old photos and new waste measures. "It's a big website," Lammi said. "I'm working on the home page right now. It will be totally redesigned." "I feel very strongly about it," he continued. Palmer Township Supervisor K. Michael Mitchell is running for re-election. "I am pleased to announce my run for re-election in the Democratic primary for Palmer Township Supervisor," Mitchell said in a press release. "First. I would like to thank the residents of Palmer for all of their support throughout my 14 years of tenure as a Supervisor to this great township. Palmer Township Supervisor Bob Lammi has announced that he won't seek re-election this year.
Palmer Township Supervisor Bob Lammi has announced that he won't seek re-election next year. Lammi sent out a press release Wednesday morning announcing the decision. He has served on the Board of Supervisors for the past 15 years. "I have made the very difficult decision to end my public service career at the end of 2013," Lammi said in the release. "Therefore, I will not seek re-election to the position of supervisor in this year's campaign." Lammi has been in public service for Palmer Township for 37 years. He was an appointed member of the planning commission for 14 years and a member of the Palmer Municipal Fire Department for 17 years.
