Wegmans Shoppers Give $58,000 to Lehigh Valley Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley received more than $58,000 thanks to Wegmans' customers.
Shoppers at Wegmans in Allentown, as well as the store's two other Lehigh Valley locations in Nazareth on Route 248 and near Bethlehem, donated $58,573 for Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley as part of a fall 2012 checkout campaign. Customers at 45 Wegmans stores in New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Eastern Pennsylvania, and the Greater Rochester region of New York made hunger relief donations totalling $1.38 million.
