Musikfest Highlights: August 6

Joe Cocker and Huey Lewis & The News at the Sands Steel Stage; a dance expo at Plaza Tropical, and classical music returns to the Central Moravian Church and Old Chapel.

  The Weather: A 30 percent chance of thundershowers before 10 a.m. It is then expected to become sunny, with a high temperature of 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Partly cloudy at night with a forecast low of a cool 58 degrees. The Headliners:  A pairing of classic rock acts from two different eras. Woodstock veteran Joe Cocker, 68, is best known for his gritty voice, his idiosyncratic arm movements while performing and his covers of Beatles tunes. Huey Lewis & The News was one of the new wave of bands that dominated the pop scene in the 1980s, hitting their peak with “The Power of Love,” the theme song from Back to the Future.
