Palmer to Buy Fence, Mower
The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors approved two non-budgeted items Tuesday to help its parks department.
Tuesday night was like Christmas for Palmer Township Public Safety Director Tom Adams. Two items he presented in his report to the Palmer Township Board of Supervisors -- both not included in the township budget -- got approval at Tuesday night's meeting. Merry Christmas, Tom. Adams is getting a fence to be put around the township's multi-purpose field and a new lawn mower for the parks department. The board, acting as Santa Claus, first granted Adams approval for buying a fence, at a little less than $10,000, for the multi-purpose field at the Palmer Athletic Complex. "It's important to get a fence around it," Adams said. "It will keep fans away." Supervisors Chairman Dave Colver agreed. "We have too much of an investment not to," he said…
