Spencer's opens just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The Palmer Park Mall has opened yet another store, just in time for the start of the holiday shopping season, which goes full throttle on Black Friday. Spencer's, a specialty store offering unique gifts and clothes, has opened right next store to Books for Less, another store that just opened in the mall recently. The mall has started to fill vacancies in recent weeks, with the bookstore's arrival and a new toy and game store for kids. The Palmer Township mall, anchored by Boscov's and The Bon-Ton, will open at midnight -- a minute short of Black Friday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 18 to welcome the new Panera Bread to the neighborhood.
Panera Bread in Lower Nazareth Township is open for business. The restaurant held a "silent opening" on Monday, April 9, according to Jim Merbler, general manager of the new Panera. The quiet introduction has allowed new employees to learn the ropes without feeling overwhelmed, Merbler said, adding that initial feedback from customers has been "really good." "The neighbors have also been really good," Merbler said. Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar even sent over a platter of wings as a welcoming gift. The Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce will help welcome Panera Bread to the neighborhood by holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 18.
