How Much Snow Did You Get?

Palmer and Forks townships were prepared for a major winter storm, but the National Weather Service downgraded accumulations late Friday afternoon.

A major winter storm that was expected to rip the Northeast and New England Friday night into Saturday may not pack such a wallop in Palmer and Forks townships. The National Weather Service scaled down snow accumulations to 3-5 inches after initial reports suggested 6-10 inches of snow. Winter Storm to Hit Palmer/Forks Friday

A winter storm will make Friday messy in Palmer and Forks Townships but the worst of it will hit New England

The National Weather Service says a winter storm will bring snow, sleet and rain to Palmer and Forks Townships Friday into early Saturday morning. The major impact will be in New England where a nor'easter-type storm could bring blizzard conditions and a foot of snow. A winter storm warning is now in effect for Northampton County, which includes Palmer and Forks. Here, the National Weather Service predicts 4 to 10 inches of snow; WFMZ predicts 3 to 6 inches for the Lehigh Valley. Snow should develop Friday morning, then mix with or change to sleet and rain from southeast to northwest. Snow could be heavy at times later Friday afternoon and Friday night, the Weather Service says. The storm should end early Saturday morning leaving Saturday …
