News about two major Forks Township business centers topped the local news stories over the past week. The Park Plaza at Sullivan Trail, the former Laneco department store, is being transformed into Forks Township's shopping mecca. New businesses continue to sign on and work is progressing. The possible sale of Braden Airpark has Vern Moyer sold on one thing: It's time for Moyer Aviation to take flight from Forks Township. Palmer Dentist Charged in Prostitution Sting to Face County Judge

Alan V. Dilsaver, 56, a Palmer Township dentist and former Lower Nazareth Township supervisor, was among the five men and one woman charged in a prostitution sting.

A Palmer Township dentist charged in a police-orchestrated prostitution sting has waived his right to a preliminary hearing, according to court records. Alan V. Dilsaver, 56, of the 300 block of Hillview Drive, Lower Nazareth, was among the five men and one woman charged in a sting at a cooperating Hanover Township, Northampton County, hotel. Police say Dilsaver, a former Lower Nazareth supervisor, answered an Internet advertisement on Dec. 14 and offered an undercover Northampton County sheriff’s deputy money for sexual acts. By waiving his preliminary hearing Monday in front of District Judge Robert Hawke, Dilsaver's misdemeanor charge of patronizing prostitutes will now be handled in Northampton County Court. Palmer Dentist Charged in Prostitution Sting

Alan V. Dilsaver, 56, a Palmer Township dentist and former Lower Nazareth Township supervisor, was among the five men and one woman charged in a prostitution sting, according to Colonial Regional Police.

A Palmer Township dentist and former Lower Nazareth Township supervisor was among five men and one woman charged in a police-orchestrated prostitution sting at a local hotel, according to a press release issued Monday by Colonial Regional Police. Police say Alan V. Dilsaver, 56, of the 300 block of Hillview Drive, Lower Nazareth, answered an Internet advertisement on Dec. 14 and offered an undercover Northampton County Sheriff’s deputy money for sex acts.  Dilsaver, the dentist at Lehigh Valley Smiles in Palmer Township, has been practicing dentistry since 1983. 7 Arrested in Prostitution Sting at Sands

Bethlehem police: Six call girls and one pimp nabbed during undercover operation Friday night.

  A prostitution sting at the Sands Bethlehem Casino Resort on Friday night netted the Bethlehem Police Department seven arrests – six accused call girls and an alleged pimp, authorities said. City police conducted the sting as a result of complaints received about suspected prostitution at the casino and Internet ads soliciting patrons, according to court records. The most serious charges were filed against Joseph John Janis, 50, of 3036 Rosewood Place, Whitehall Township, who is facing three counts of promoting prostitution, a third-class felony. Janis is accused of operating a prostitution business, advertised on the Internet as “At Your Pleasure,” the court records say. Janis allegedly took telephone calls, arranged meetings between …
