Thief Stuffed $420 in Merchandise in Orange Tote, Police Say

Easton teenager arrested and arraigned for September retail theft at Target, court documents indicate.

Police have made an arrest in a September retail theft case in which a female teenager and another woman tried to walk out of the Target in Lower Nazareth Township with about $420 in merchandise stuffed into an orange tote container. Court records say store employees stopped the women, including suspect Khadijha Demaris Noone, 18, of Easton, as they left the store the afternoon of Sept. 28, a Friday. But the women fled on foot without taking the merchandise and got away in a black 1998 Volkswagen Jetta. The Target is at 3835 Dryland Way near the intersection of Routes 33 and 248. My View

Getting into the Holiday Shopping Spirit

All that awaited me on Thanksgiving was waking up the next morning and starting my traditional holiday shopping on Black Friday. Except that Thursday night seemed like a perfect opportunity. So much for tradition. It was around 9 p.m. when my son Joshua and I decided to brave the elements and see what brave new world was out among this sea of new shoppers who were turning Black Friday into Black Thursday night. But I read that Target opened at 9 p.m. So we ventured out to Lower Nazareth Township. And what we saw amazed…

The recall of products containing peanut butter and other nut butters sold by many retailers under many labels has more than doubled to 240 products, with the FDA reporting a 'fast-moving outbreak' of salmonella-induced sickness in 19 states.

Responding to what it called a "fast-moving outbreak" of salmonella-caused sickness in at least 19 states, including three cases in Connecticut, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Friday that the company recall of nut butter products made by Sunland Inc. and sold under many labels has more than doubled to at least 240 products. The recall list includes several well-known brands and a variety of peanut butter products as well as almond butter, cashew butter, tahini and roasted blanched peanut products. This random list indicates the range: Not every container of the products in the list above or the much longer lists available from the FDA and from Sunland is affected. It depends on the batch, as shown by the UPC or SKU numbers…
