Bon-Ton customers can begin earning rewards once they spend $200 on their 'Your Rewards' credit card.
The Bon-Ton wants to make its customers a little happier. The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. has announced that it has revamped the "Your Rewards" loyalty program, which was reintroduced Feb. 15. The Bon-Ton has a location in the Palmer Park Mall in Palmer Township. The new program allows customers to begin earning rewards as soon as he or she spends $200 on their "Your Rewards" credit card at any of The Bon-Ton Stores' seven nameplates, including Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers or online. Anyone who currently has a Your Rewards credit card will be automatically enrolled. Famous Footwear closes up shop in the Palmer Park Mall.
The Palmer Park Mall has sustained another casualty. Recently, Famous Footwear -- just across from the Fiat dealership -- closed up shop. The mall has undergone numerous changes recently with the opening of a new book store, Spencer's and a toy store, all just before the holiday shopping season. It was unknown how long Famous Footwear has operated in the mall. A sign on the front of the store said that its fixtures were for sale. The mall is anchored by Boscov's and The Bon-Ton.

The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. announce that store sales increased 2.2 percent for August.
The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. has announced comparable store sales in the four weeks ended Aug. 25, increased 2.2 percent. Total sales increased 2.1 percent to $180.8 million in the current year compared with $177.1 million in the prior year period. Year-to-date comparable store sales decreased 0.3 percent. Year-to-date total sales decreased 0.4 percent to $1,416.4 million compared with $1,422.5 million in the same period last year. The Bon-Ton has a store in the Palmer Park Mall in Palmer Township. Retailer located in Palmer Park Mall reports sales off 0.8 percent for June from prior year.
The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., which operates in the Palmer Park Mall, is reporting that sales dipped in June compared with the same period a year ago, the company announced in a press release Thursday. Company officials reported that store sales dipped 0.8 percent for June from the previous year while total sales were off 1 percent from $240.8 million to $238.8 million. Overall, Bon-Ton figures are down 0.9 percent year to date from the same point last year. "June sales were uneven throughout the month," Brendan Hoffman, The Bon-Ton's president and chief executive, said in a statement. Police says an Easton woman was caught shoplifting at The Bon-Ton the same day she entered a rehabilitation program for shoplifting.
On the same day an accused shoplifter was accepted into a special program for first-time offenders, she became a second-time offender for shoplifting from The Bon-Ton, according to court records. Akilah Hazelann Rose-Frazer of Easton is charged with shoplifting $214.48 of items around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29 from The Bon-Ton in Palmer Park Mall. Last October, Rose-Frazer – accompanied by two children – was accused of stealing $293.46 in clothing, jewelry and perfume from Kohl's department store in the Northampton Crossings shopping center in Lower Nazareth Township.
