Just because icy weather is here doesn't mean there aren't things to do.
Hello everyone. I'm writing this on a day when the thermometer barely got above 15 degrees, and thus feel grateful that most of what's happening this weekend in Easton will keep you indoors. (Update, Friday morning: It will, of course, be warmer this weekend, thus rendeing the previous sentence moot.) 1. The Brian Molnar Band performs Friday night at 10 p.m. at Porter's Pub. 2. Jack Wright and Guests, an improv jazz ensemble, performs Saturday night at ConneXions Gallery, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. 3. More jazz: Floyd King Presents, also Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Lafayette Bar on Fourth Street. 4. Learn about the art of William Gothard Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Gallery at St. John's, next to St. John's Lutheran Church on Ferry St. 5. …

Lafayette College has received a $800,000 grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation to support the school's curriculum. Lafayette says the money will be used for its Global Arts Infusion and Visiting Artists Initiative. It will allow the college to add new arts programs and strengthen existing ones. The release said the grant comes at a time when Lafayette is setting new film/media and theater programs at the Williams Center on Third Street. The school is also creating …
