A senior labrador mix, Madaline knows how to "sit" and would appreciate a home instead of a cage. POLLY Polly is a cute girl looking for a forever home. Polly is spayed, litter-trained, up to date on shots, microchipped and ready to go! She came to us as a stray and is eager for a family again. She likes other cats.

The national average for self-serve gas has increased for 10 straight days to the highest price in more than a month, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The national average this for a gallon is $3.588, up 4.9 cents from last week, but still about 14 cents lower than a year ago. But according to the report, the year over year difference will likely continue to fade due to higher crude oil prices and refinery maintenance that decreases supply. In the Lehigh Valley, the average price of self-serve gasoline is $3.439 per gallon, 2.2 cents higher than a week ago, 8.7 cents lower than a month ago and 26.6 cents lower than a year ago. After months of a steady decline, gas prices saw it’s first uptick last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The national average this for a gallon of gas rose 1.7 cents from last week. In the Lehigh Valley, the average price of self-serve gasoline is $3.412 per gallon, 1.3 cents lower than a week ago, 17.5 cents lower than a month ago and 36.9 cents lower than a year ago. Since national gas prices peaked at the end of February, motorists nationwide have felt welcome relief at the pump in the form of falling prices, the report states; however, the recent broader increase in retail gas prices has been supported by higher global crude oil prices. In the Lehigh Valley, the average price of self-serve gasoline is $3.425 per gallon, 3.4 cents lower than a week ago, 20 cents lower than a month ago and 44.8 cents lower than a year ago. The Pennsylvania average retail price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline is also $3.463, down 2.7 cents from a week ago. Acacia doesn't like other dogs at the shelter, so she must be an only pet. She doesn't mind being handled and loves to be out and about playing and using her nose. Gas prices in every state—except Idaho—have seen another decrease since last week, according to AAA’s fuel report. In Pennsylvania, the average for a gallon of self-serve regular is $3.552 per gallon down 5.4 cents from a week ago. U.S. gasoline prices in April have continued to fall, the reports states, not just because of weak demand, but oil prices have also moved sharply lower. In the Lehigh Valley, the average priceof self-service gasoline is $3.522 per gallon, 5.9 cents lower than a week ago, 14.5 cents lower than a month ago and 43.5 cents lower than a year ago. Pa. attorney general says narcotics agents have busted an international meth ring that distributed $7 million worth of drugs in the Lehigh Valley in the last five years.
A Bethlehem man is accused of being co-leader of a crystal methamphetamine ring, which stretched from Mexico to the Lehigh Valley, and allegedly distributed $7 million worth of drugs over the past five years, according to state officials. Twenty-three suspected drug dealers and traffickers are charged as a result of the 15-month investigation. Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane has identified the leaders of the organization as: Evidence and testimony regarding the alleged drug trafficking was presented to a statewide investigating grand jury, which recommended that criminal charges be filed. Pollen, wind and climate make the Lehigh Valley an 'allergy capital,' according to a national report.
The Lehigh Valley ranks 45th—an improvement from its ranking of 41 last year— among "Spring Allergy Capitals" as named by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. The report is an independent research project to identify the 100 most challenging places to live with allergies during the spring season. This year, Jackson, Miss., rose to the number one spot on the list (up from number four last year) primarily due to very high pollen and a large reliance on allergy medications among allergy patients. The rankings are based on scientific analysis of three factors for the 100 largest metro areas in the U.S. The data measured and compared for the ranking include:
